Mike Sherwood – Company Champion of the Year

I am incredibly proud to share that I have been shortlisted for Company Champion of the Year at the Aesthetics Awards 2026. To be recognised in a category that celebrates the individuals working behind the scenes to support teams, improve systems, and drive long-term business success is a real honour.

As Marketing Director at Derma Institute and through my work as a Medical Aesthetics Business Coach, my focus has always been on helping clinic owners and practitioners build sustainable, compliant, and well-structured businesses alongside their clinical practice. I work closely with practitioners across the UK to improve clarity, confidence, and commercial strategy, ensuring that growth is both ethical and achievable.

Within Derma Institute, my role spans marketing strategy, business development, delegate engagement, and long-term planning. Much of my work centres on improving the delegate journey, strengthening communication, and ensuring training is supported by clear guidance, structure, and ongoing support. Being shortlisted for this award is recognition of that commitment and of the belief that strong businesses are built on solid foundations, not short-term wins.

The Aesthetics Awards are the most established and respected awards within the UK medical aesthetics sector. With hundreds of entries each year, a rigorous judging process, and public voting contributing to the final outcome, being shortlisted represents a significant achievement within the industry.

Alongside my individual nomination, Derma Institute has also been shortlisted for Independent Training Provider of the Year. This reflects the continued commitment of the team to high-quality, doctor-led education, hands-on training, and patient safety.

Derma Institute supports healthcare professionals through foundation, advanced, and postgraduate training pathways in injectables, helping practitioners develop clinical confidence and long-term professional growth.
